ANTI DRONES GUNS

Anti-Drone Guns (also known as Counter-UAS RF Jammers).
What are Anti-Drone Guns?
They are portable, rifle-shaped devices designed to intercept and neutralize rogue drones. Instead of bullets or nets, they use radio frequency (RF) jamming to cut the communication link between the drone and its pilot.
How They Work:
The gun emits high-powered jamming signals targeted at the drone’s frequencies (typically 2.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz). It overpowers the controller’s signal, causing one of two reactions:
· Return-to-Home (RTH): The drone flies back to its takeoff point.
· Controlled Descent: The drone lands straight down.
Key Features:
· Non-Kinetic: Does not fire projectiles; reduces collateral damage.
· Directional Antenna: Focuses jamming energy in a narrow beam.
· Range: Typically effective from 500 meters to 2+ kilometers.
· Selective Jamming: Can target GPS, video, or control links separately.
Common Types:
· Handheld (Shoulder-fired): Portable for police/security (e.g., DroneShield, DroneGun).
· Backpack/Mobile: Higher power, longer runtime.
· Fixed/Vehicle-mounted: For airports or military bases.
Primary Uses:
· VIP Protection: Securing events, stadiums, and political summits.
· Airport Security: Preventing drone strikes on aircraft.
· Military Bases: Defense against surveillance or weaponized drones.
· Corrections Facilities: Blocking contraband delivery drones.
